- Open the file in your word processor and proofread it. Press Delete now if you want the server copy removed right away.
Features
The text is returned as a real .docx file, not an image inside a document.
JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP are accepted, so phone photos and screenshots both work.
The document contains only your recognized text.
Recognition runs on our GPU server and does not depend on your device speed.
Uploads and results are removed after 24 hours, with a Delete now button for earlier removal.
Why convert an image to Word
A photo of a page cannot be searched, quoted or corrected. Converting it to a Word document lets you fix typos, reformat headings, translate sections or reuse paragraphs in another file without retyping them.
It is handy for printed contracts you need to amend, class handouts, recipes from a cookbook photo, old reports that only exist on paper, and screenshots of text that was never available in a copyable form.
Getting a better conversion
Photograph the page flat and square to the camera, in even light, with the text filling most of the frame. If the image is small or soft, enlarge it first with the image upscaler. After conversion, read through numbers, names and punctuation, which are the most common places for recognition mistakes.
Frequently asked questions
Will the Word file look exactly like my picture?
Not necessarily. The tool focuses on recovering the text so you can edit it. Fonts, columns and complex layouts may differ from the original and need some tidying.
What formats can I upload?
JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 10 MB. For a multi-page document, convert one page at a time.
How accurate is the text?
Clear printed text is usually recognized well. Blurry, tilted, low contrast or handwritten text produces more errors, so proofread before sharing the document.
Do I need Microsoft Word to open the result?
No. The .docx format opens in Word, LibreOffice Writer, Google Docs and most other word processors.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account and no payment. The site is supported by advertising.
What happens to my image afterwards?
It is stored only so you can download the result, then deleted after 24 hours. We do not log its content or use it to train models.
