Blur Faces in Photos
Find faces and blur or pixelate them in your browser.

Processed in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded. The saved PNG carries no metadata such as GPS location.
Add a photo and the tool finds the faces in it and covers them with a blur or a pixelated mosaic. Click the faces you want to keep visible, then download the result as a PNG.
Everything runs inside your browser tab: the photo is never uploaded, and the face detector (Google MediaPipe BlazeFace) is downloaded from this site only when you add your first picture.
How to use Blur Faces in Photos
- Add a PNG, JPG or WebP photo by dragging it in, picking a file or pasting from the clipboard.
- Wait a moment for the faces to be found. They are outlined in the preview.
- Click a face to switch its effect off or on, and choose Blur or Pixelate and the strength.
- Download the image. The saved PNG carries no metadata such as GPS location.
Features
Detection and blurring run on your own device, so the photo never reaches a server.
Click a face in the preview to keep it visible or cover it.
Pick a soft blur or a mosaic and adjust the strength with a slider.
The saved image keeps the pixel size of the original.
Re-encoding through a canvas drops EXIF data such as location and camera details.
No sign-up and no limit on how many photos you process.
Hiding faces before you post
Check the whole picture, not only faces: car plates, name badges, screens and documents may also identify people. Zoom in on the preview, switch off false detections, and use a high strength for anything sensitive.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Detection and blurring happen in your browser. The detector model is fetched from this website the first time you add a photo; after that your picture stays on your device.
Will it find every face?
Not always. The detector is tuned for faces that are reasonably large and facing the camera. Very small, far away, side-on, masked or heavily shadowed faces can be missed, so check the preview before you share the picture. Faces it finds wrongly can be switched off with a click.
Is a blur safe for hiding someone?
A strong blur or pixelation makes a face unrecognisable to people, but a light blur may be reversible with software. Use a high strength when privacy matters, and consider cropping instead.
Which formats and sizes are supported?
PNG, JPG and WebP up to 40 megapixels. The result is saved as a PNG.
